Description: Someone who thinks they have been unfairly treated by their local council can ask a Local Government Ombudsman to investigate their complaint. The Local Government Ombudsmen are independent people who investigate allegations of maladministration causing injustice to the person who has complained. They investigate complaints about most council matters including social services, housing, planning, education and council tax. Advice line 08456 021983.
