Support Bucks Mind by taking part in the 2017 Penn Seven and Super Fun Run on Sunday 18th June.

Each June, the villages of Penn and Tylers Green host a road race and a fun run to raise money for charity. These races, which have been held every year since 1984, have raised a total of over £270,000 for charity.

This year the event will be supporting Buckinghamshire Mind and will be named ‘Jogging Along for Jim’ in memory of village stalwart Jim Hawes, who tragically died during a spell of depression in 2016.

“Jim contributed so much to village events, including, of course, the Penn Seven and Super Fun Run,” says event organiser Ian Barnett. “He is sadly missed in the village.”

The Penn seven, a 7-mile road race for serious runners, starts at 11am and the Super Fun Run, which is 3.5 miles around Tylers Green and Hazlemere, starts at 2.30pm.

In between the two races there will be ‘mini marathons’, a short course for children aged 5 to 7 years. There will also be bouncy castles and other attractions for children and families to enjoy.
