Marlow Feel Good Group COVID-19 Update
In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic we at Buckinghamshire Mind are closely following the Government’s guidelines on health and safety measures regarding social distancing.
We are currently providing fortnightly online peer support sessions via Zoom.
A peer support group in Marlow that provides women experiencing mental health problems with an opportunity to meet like-minded people in an informal setting. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where people can meet, support each other, have a focus to the week and develop a sense of community.
This group offers social activities to local people over the age of 18, particularly young women experiencing post-natal depression or social isolation. There is also a free crèche, facilitated by Marlow Children’s Centre, for anyone who wants to bring their children with them.
“The peer support group in Marlow has been so valuable because it has given me the opportunity to express any issues and talk through my problems. It gives me a chance to meet other people who are experiencing the same or similar issues as me and to find support. I can bring my children with me because there is a crèche and I have the space and time to do something creative, which makes me feel so much better.”
– Helen, Marlow Peer Support Group
The Marlow Feel Good Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Foxes Piece Children’s Centre in Marlow.
