How your gift will make a difference

Your gift to Buckinghamshire Mind will be used to help more people with mental health problems in the future. For example:

  • £300 could train 10 volunteers to carry out a Befriender role.
  • £1,000 could pay for a seaside day trip for around 50 people attending our wellbeing services.
  • £1,500 could pay for 16 voluntary and community sector employees and volunteers to be trained in Suicide First Aid.
  • £2,000 could pay for Peer Support Mentor training to run in one school for free for a year.
  • £3,300 could pay for 16 voluntary and community sector employees and volunteers to be trained in Mental Health First Aid.
  • £4400 could pay for an assessment and 10 counselling sessions for 10 people in genuine financial hardship.
  • £5,000 could pay for room hire/new activity venues for groups.
  • £7,500 could set-up 3 weekly sessions of a coffee and chat group for a year.
  • £15,000 could pay for a vehicle to take isolated members of the community to activities and groups and medical appointments.
  • £35,000 could pay for a Buckinghamshire Mind worker to support over 100 service users transition from hospital into community-based services.
  • £50,000 could pay for two new Friends in Need peer support service coordinators in Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire.
