You can now take part in 5k May in aid of Buckinghamshire Mind.
What is 5k May?
5k May has been created by Run for Heroes, the charity set-up last year as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The charity raised over £7 Million for NHS Charities after releasing the viral Instagram challenge; run 5k, donate £5 and nominate 5 others.
Now, Run for Heroes have launched 5k May – one month of coming together for better! You can do your 5K anywhere, anytime with anyone. You can run, roll, walk, cycle or even swim if you want to. It’s about getting out and feeling good while doing it. You can choose to donate your £5 to any charity of your choice.
The Aim
The aim is to get as many people active as possible while raising vital funds for charity. There are proven links between physical activity and better mental health, so this is a great way to look after yourself and help other local people.
