Bucks Mind run several Wellbeing Groups in Aylesbury, Chesham and High Wycombe during the week. Our aim is to support people with significant and longstanding mental health difficulties.
Often attendees are receiving clinical support from the Community Mental Health Teams, but the groups are open to anyone experiencing these types of difficulties. There is a cost to attend this service. Some people have this cost covered by their health provider and others self-fund.
Currently, the groups run a range of activities (art/craft, cooking, local outings, social time and many others) with two Wellbeing Workers in attendance. Feedback from current members indicates that they feel welcomed and supported in a safe space. They gain confidence, relax, and benefit from creative, therapeutic activities. Supportive staff and shared experiences with others enhance their wellbeing.
We want to ensure these groups are accessed by as many people as possible who are eligible. In order to find out why people may not be attending, we have co-designed this survey with our team of Experts by Experience.
We are keen to make the groups work for as many people as possible, so your feedback will be very valuable. We are particularly interested in finding out what barriers there might be and what would make the groups more appealing to potential attendees.
