Article published on: Thursday, 22 January 2026

Children’s Mental Health Week is on 9-15 February and aims to raise awareness of children and young people’s mental health.

This year, Buckinghamshire Mind is asking local schools to consider holding a non-uniform day in aid of Bucks Mind. Your support, and that of the students and parents, will raise vital funds to support our Children and Young People’s Services (CYP).

Our CYP Team work with local schools to deliver programmes that aim to educate and prevent poor mental health in children and young people. In return for supporting us, schools who hold a non-uniform day will receive a FREE mental health awareness assembly delivered by our CYP Team during the current school year.

If your school would like to take part and support Bucks Mind or if you have any questions, please email our Fundraising Team at [email protected].

To collect donations, you can set-up a fundraising page in aid of Bucks Mind on JustGiving by the button below and selecting ‘Start fundraising’.

All schools that take part will receive a certificate of appreciation to celebrate your achievement and a free mental health awareness assembly.

Our CYP Team has produced children’s book activity sheets for families. It can be challenging to talk about emotions and wellbeing. We’ve made these parent and child activity sheets to help families to have these conversations. They’re based on popular children’s books that can be found in local libraries. Please click here to download the activity sheets.
