These sessions are suitable for children in Reception and Key Stage One. Sessions run for an hour and, due to the nature of their delivery, are suitable for up to a maximum of 30 attendees. However, if you would like a longer session or one delivered to a higher number of children, this can be arranged.

Sessions focus on talking about worries and feelings. Reading a story together, our Children and Young People Leads work with the children to talk about what makes us feel worried (among other feelings) and how we can look after ourselves.

Each session features a different story, including:

  • Ruby’s Worry: A children’s picture book that helps young readers understand and express their worries in a safe and supportive way.
  • The Colour Monster: A children’s book that helps young readers identify and understand their emotions through the adventures of a confused monster.
  • Ravi’s Roar: A story that captures the essence of a child’s frustration and the importance of managing emotions.
  • Where Happiness Begins: A heartwarming picture book that explores the concept of happiness.
