October marks Black History Month. It is an important occasion to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of black people to British society.

This year’s theme, ‘Saluting our Sisters’, plays homage to black women who had contributions ignored, ideas appropriated, and voices silenced.

Throughout this month at Buckinghamshire Mind, we will continue to learn more about this topic, engage and share important stories and messages.  Keep an eye out on our main social media channels:

LinkedIn

We will take part in honouring black women’s achievements, help amplify their voices, and challenge the systems that oppress them.

Buckinghamshire Mind encourages all of our community to find ways you too can take part in learning and celebrating this important campaign.  Below are some great organisations that offer useful and insightful resources.
