Champion the Change Buckinghamshire is holding a Bucks Big Chat is on 29th February 2024, during Eating Disorders Awareness Week (26th Feb to 3rd March).

The event, via Zoom, is aimed at parents and people who work with children and young people. We’re delighted that Tessa Peters will be giving a talk about Lived Experience with Eating Disorders.

Tessa has experienced body image issues since she was a young child, which left her feeling alone and misunderstood. She has since founded a charity, Been There, which provides support to help people cope with body image issues.

Champion the Change Buckinghamshire is a partnership of local organisations and people who are committed to ending mental health stigma and discrimination and create hope for those affected by mental illness.

By transforming misplaced attitudes and increasing understanding of mental health, we can tackle the unnecessary barriers those living with mental health conditions can face all too often.

Champion the Change hosts a Bucks Big Chat awareness event four times a year, with the aim of encouraging people to talk more openly about mental health.
