Buckinghamshire Mind has been Highly Commended in the Leadership category of the Mind Network Excellence Awards.
The judges stated that Buckinghamshire Mind had shown courage, vision and commitment as hallmarks of excellence in its work around leadership.
On Highly Commending Buckinghamshire Mind’s application for the Leadership Award, the judge’s comments were:
“This application communicates the excellence of the leadership of the organisation and how this has made a positive impact at multiple levels. The vision of the organisation is clear and consistent throughout… with multiple specific examples of how leadership have listened to and involved services users and staff in implementing changes.”
Lesley Michaelis, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Buckinghamshire Mind, said:
“It is fantastic that our committed and passionate team has been recognised for their excellence in leadership at the Awards. The consultative and inclusive leadership style throughout Bucks Mind is truly inspirational and has enabled us to increase our impact, become more sustainable and deliver service excellence to those that need us.”
The Awards are open to local Minds who have recently taken part in the MQM (Mind Quality Mark) process. The aim is to encourage good relationships, promote high standards, inspire others and create a record of best practice for the local Mind network – ultimately helping to deliver excellent services for people with mental health problems.
