We are delighted to announce that the Bucks Mind Mascot 2021-22 is Meatball!
Congratulations to Meatball (pictured).
As well as official honouring as Bucks Mind’s 2021-22 mental health mascot, Meatball’s owner will receive a bespoke 8”x8” oil painting on stretched canvas of Meatball, commissioned by artist Allan Shaw Art.
This is what Meatball’s owner had to say about their lovely cat:
“Meatball was rescued from a very abusive home, we were his third owners and he hid in our airing cupboard for three months, eventually going under our bed where we’d put a cosy bed and some toys for him. It wasn’t until I received some very bad news and couldn’t sleep that he came out and sat on my chest, making me feel instantly at ease! It’s been just over a year and now he plays, comes and sits with us in the front room and has nightly cuddles with us! We say he’s our therapy cat because whenever one of us is feeling anxious or sad he’ll find us and jump on our lap! He saved us just as much as we saved him!”
We hope you’ll agree that this makes Meatball a very worthy winner. There were so many amazing entries, with absolutely wonderful pets who had made a huge difference to the lives and mental health wellbeing of their owners. Truly, they are all winners in our eyes!
We’re also delighted to announce 2nd and 3rd places in our Mascot Competition:
2nd place: Duke
3rd place: Zen and Willow
Our huge thanks to everyone who entered and voted in the Bucks Mind Mascot competition.
