When someone important to you dies it can be comforting to raise money in their memory, bringing people together to share treasured memories all whilst raising vital funds for those locally who need our support and making a meaningful impact on their lives.
There are many ways you could choose to fundraise in their memory; here are some ways you could consider:
Take on a challenge
Whether it be a bike ride, swimathon or sponsored walk, taking on a challenge in memory of a loved one can be a great way of providing you with a positive focus following a difficult time. You may like to take on your own challenge, enter an established event. Please click the button below to find out more about Challenge Events. Setting-up a fundraising page on JustGiving is an easy way for people to show their support and raise money for Buckinghamshire Mind.
Organise a fundraising event
You may prefer to host a fundraising event through your place of work or in your local community. Whether you are planning to hold a quiz night in a local pub or hold a bake sale at work we can support you with your fundraising and provide you with resources e.g. collection buckets, t-shirts, stickers etc.
Funeral collections
Collecting donations at a funeral can help Buckinghamshire Mind to make a lasting difference in memory of your loved one. Many funeral directors can arrange this on your behalf, or you can ask for donations on the day instead of flowers. You can also consider holding a collection at celebration of life services and memorial events.
If you need any assistance with your fundraising, our fundraising team will be happy to help. They can be contacted by emailing [email protected] or calling 01494 463364.
