For the month of September, Ewan is carrying the Rough Ashlar, a bath stone, and chain everywhere he goes. By undertaking this difficult challenge, he not only hopes to raise funds for both charities but also awareness of suicide prevention, in recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September).

Ewan has already raised significant funds by completing the Rough Ashlar Challenge twice before, in May 2025 and 2026. So, it’s hugely impressive that he’s taking it on for a third time.
