Bucks Mind has received funding from four Community Boards to offer infant schools the opportunity to take part in an Early Years and Key Stage 1 (ages four to seven) mental health awareness project during academic year 2022/23.

The aim of this project is to introduce mental health to children in an age appropriate way through an exploration of big feelings and what to do when you have them. We will do this by offering assemblies or carpet time workshops to all schools in the Community Board areas; Amersham, Burnham, Denham, Gerrards Cross, the Chalfonts, Wexham and the Ivers.

We will also offer a staff and parent training session, which will focus on children’s and young people’s mental health, how to provide support and signposting information.
