Article published on: Tuesday, 09 April 2024

Following the huge success last year of our free Mental Health Training for hairdressers courses, funded by Buckinghamshire Council, we are delighted to announce further dates for this course. The training is FREE for hairdressers and barbers in Buckinghamshire.

The three-hour course, aimed at reducing stigma, is designed to explore the unique relationship between hairdressers/barbers and their customers, utilising those ‘in the chair’ conversations as opportunities to raise mental health awareness and signpost to sources of support.

This course has been carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of hairdressers and barbers and will encourage you to think about your own mental wellbeing throughout, alongside how to support customers experiencing a mental health problem.

Support for your mental health is out there and we are here for you.

The Mental Health Training for hairdressers and barbers courses are taking place on:

  • Hairdressers Course, Aylesbury Vineyard, Wednesday 15th May 9-12pm
  • Hairdressers Course, Wycombe Library, Wednesday 22nd May, 10-1pm
  • Barbers course, High Wycombe library, Wednesday 12th June 10-1pm
  • Barbers course, Aylesbury Vineyard, Wednesday 19th June,  1-4pm

Please note that you must work as a hairdresser or barber in Buckinghamshire to attend and can only select one date.
