Article published on: Wednesday, 23 September 2020

On 7th September, service users, carers, volunteers and staff from the Older Adults’ Service took part in a sponsored walk to raise vital funds.

Everyone undertook their own walk in their local area, whether it was walking in the Chesham countryside, Chipperfield woods, down the aisles of a local garden centre or simply along their road. Some walked on their own while others walked with a friend or family member. Together they raised £585 for the Older Adults’ Service.

Studies have found that taking a moderately-paced walk can instantly improve your mood. So the sponsored walk was a great way to promote physical and mental wellbeing as well as raise funds.

Thank you to everyone who took part and all those who sponsored our walkers.
