Time to Talk Day 2026 is on Thursday 5th February. The day is all about bringing people and communities together to talk about mental health.

It’s not always easy to say how we really feel, but Time to Talk Day is a chance for all of us to be more open about our feelings or if we are struggling. In the run up to and on the day, we encourage everyone – from individuals, community groups, workplaces, and schools – to have conversations about mental health.

Talking really does make a difference. In Dawn’s words, “Talking really helped me with my mental health, when I opened up and just sort of told people how I was really feeling. I hope I can help others by continuing to talk.”

Talking openly and honestly can be the first step towards better mental health for everyone. It can reduce stigma and help people feel comfortable enough to seek help when they need it.

Talking about mental health isn’t always easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives. Even a simple message to a friend can start a conversation and make a difference.
