Who is this course most suitable for?
Charity, community or public sector employees and volunteers who would like more awareness of young people’s mental health and more confidence to have a conversation about mental health.
This course is great if you don’t regularly have mental health conversations with young people in your role but you want to feel more prepared if a young person speaks to you about their mental health.
What will I learn?
This course will give you more awareness of young people’s mental health.
You will gain:
- An understanding of some of the common mental health problems affecting young people, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis
- Skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues
- Knowledge of ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences
