This Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) programme gives in-depth knowledge and an opportunity to practice the skills needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help create suicide-safety as a first aid approach. No prior training or experience is necessary.
For those wishing to deepen their knowledge of Suicide First Aid after attending a course, there is the option to complete the Royal Society of Public Health, Level 4 award in Suicide First Aid.

Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) Level 4 Award in Suicide First Aid®
This award is aimed at individuals who have a role in contributing to suicide prevention. This may include workers in the health and social care, education or criminal justice sectors and members of local communities who form part of a network of support within an organised suicide prevention framework. It provides an understanding of the factors that may lead to suicidal behaviour and knowledge of the key components of suicide prevention.
RSPH Level 4 Award in Suicide First Aid® is an accredited written assignment. The assignment is comprised of 15 questions and expects that the learner uses both the knowledge they have gained from their SFA course and also some independent research. This unit of learning costs £95 per learner. The average wordcount of a finished assignment is 3000-5000 words. The assignment must be completed within 6 weeks of receipt. Upon completion the learner will receive an E-Certificate from RSPH at Level 4.
