World Mental Health Day 10th October 2021: If we all do one thing, we can change everything.

The theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health this year is ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’.

World Mental Health Day is a chance to speak out, spread the word and make change happen. And that’s where you come in. Will you do one thing and join the fight?

To honour this year’s theme, our Training Services team is offering a free virtual guided meditation session on Thursday 7th October, 10am to 11am. The session is open to anyone and everyone interested in attending.

You do not need to know how to “do” meditation, have any special equipment or be able to chant ‘om’ for hours, this session is designed to help you take back your time, get off the hamster wheel for an hour and check in honestly with yourself.

Through gentle breath work, muscle relaxation and visualisation we’ll not only reap personal benefits, we can also benefit the world by equipping ourselves for the times when we’re asked to listen and act.

We also have a range of other activities to mark World Mental Health Day. On Thursday, our Older Adults’ Service is hosting an afternoon tea, bake sale and quiz for service users. On Friday, our Friends in Need (FiN) service will be holding a stand at South Hill Park in Bracknell. Please pop along to say hello and find out more about our FiN peer support groups.

Our Children and Young People’s Service team are offering assemblies at a discounted rate of £80 for bookings during week commencing the 11th October 2021. For bookings or more information please email [email protected] or call 01494 463364
